
RAD is an acronym for Rape Aggression Defense. These self-defense classes teach women specifically how to defend themselves physically from a sexual assault attack. The classes are for women only and are taught by University Police officers specifically trained to teach RAD techniques.
RAD classes are offered through BYU Continuing Education Department.
Currently ten University Police staff have been trained as instructors.
RAD classes are offered Fall and Winter semesters. The class is P.E. 155 section 400.
Rad classes are also offered quarterly in female resident halls upon demand. A fee of $40.00 per person will be required.
