Description

Protect life and property.  Provide police services to the campus utilizing bicycle, foot and vehicle patrol.  Enforce on-campus, state law and Provo City ordinances, and University traffic and parking regulations.  Conduct investigations of crimes and suspicious activities and write clear, concise reports.  Maintain a log of activities.  Teach crime awareness and prevention.  Develop and foster good relationships with university employees and students.

Qualifications

Utah POST Category I certification required.  Prior law enforcement experience or training preferred.  College degree or similar educational experience desirable.  Possession of Utah Drivers License.  Must be able to work four month intervals on rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned.  Must be able to work frequent overtime for “Special Events."  Must have no convictions for serious criminal, traffic, drug or domestic violence violations.  Must pass a thorough background investigation.
