Accident A BYU officer responded to lot 37 on a Property Damage Accident. Officer met with both individuals and they both exchanged information. An accident report was filed.
Lost Property A police officer took a phone report last week regarding the theft of AirPods at the Utah State High School track meet. A participant reported that their AirPods were stolen from a bag inside a tent on Thursday afternoon. The officer collected information and filed a report.
Robbery Alarm An officer responded to a robbery alarm at the Bean Museum gift shop. Upon arrival, they found several employees working in the area who reported no issues and confirmed they had not pressed the alarm button. The officer inspected the alarm systems in the gift shop and information desk, both functioning properly. The cause of the alarm remains unknown.
Theft BYU Grounds reported that a BYU Kubota Side by Side was stolen from in front of their grounds shed at Wyview Park sometime over the weekend. No suspects are identified at this time. It was later recovered by officers at a location off campus.
Duress Alarm Police responded to the MTC following a delayed report of a panic alarm activation, which occurred an hour prior. Despite multiple resets, the system did not show it was cleared. Dispatch requested a work order for the alarm.
Citizen Contact The complainant reported to dispatch that his vehicle may have been hit while parked in Lot 25 on BYU campus between 1930 and 2200 hours. An officer located the vehicle as it entered the lot and reviewed nearby surveillance footage, which confirmed the small dent on the rear was present upon arrival. The complainant was informed of the findings and began investigating his prior movements.
