Alarm
An officer was dispatched to the Joseph F. Smith Building to investigate a door alarm. Upon arrival, he discovered that the door in question was propped open. Student building care employees were present in the area. The officer explained the purpose of the door alarm and the importance of keeping the doors closed. He then removed the item holding the door open, which cleared the alarm.

Paper Service
Investigative officers served an adult ban letter to an individual for trespassing. The order prohibits the person from entering BYU property without authorization.

Information
An officer was asked to call the complainant regarding an individual leaving letters around campus, searching for someone they believe used to work at the Creamery on Ninth. Upon reviewing the letters, it does not appear that any criminal activity has taken place. The case will be documented for future reference should further incidents occur.
