Suspicious Officers responded to the restroom building near the tennis courts on a report of a homeless male hanging around the restroom. The complainant thought the male was setting up camp. Officers met with the male, who was charging his phone on an outlet. The male was cooperative and left campus.
Medical Officers and Provo EMS responded to Heritage Halls on a medical. The male patient has a history of seizures and has had them the last two nights. The patient also has an appointment to see a neurologist in two weeks. The patient was checked by EMS and remained at the apartment.
Theft Officers responded to Wyview Park to the report of a laundry theft that occurred on January 5, 2023. The reporting party stated they left their laundry in a washing machine for around 3-hours and returned to find there laundry in a basket with a note apologizing for removing there laundry. When the reporting party sorted her laundry, she found 3-items were missing. Officer will review video footage and update this report.
Accident Officer contacted the complainant by phone who reported his car was damaged while parked outside Wymount Terrace. He stated that when he returned to his vehicle this morning at 0600, he found damage to his rear bumper. There are no cameras in the area to determine who damaged the vehicle.
Accident -PD Officers responded to the parking area (Lot #40) north of the Tanner Building to assist with a traffic accident. There was damage to vehicles, however, no injuries were reported. Exchange forms provided to both drivers.
Information Officers took a report of a mentally ill person sending religiously charged E-mails to random people throughout campus. The origin of the E-mails claims to be from the Virginia area. There are some threatening undertones, but not to anyone particular. Steps are being taken to have the person blocked from sending further E-mails.
Information Officers responded to the Police Station to take information from roommates on a mental health concern.
