Information Officers responded to the area of 300 East and 800 North regarding a subject throwing an egg at a vehicle. They checked the area and spoke with several individuals who reported not witnessing the incident. The complainant did not wish to be contacted.
Suspicious Report of two suspicious males around campus west of the library. The subjects were described as panhandling and appearing suspicious. Officers responded to the location and searched the grounds and the library building. No contact was made with the subjects in question, as they were not located.
Information The BYU Police Department received notification from the FBI about online threats directed at a BYU professor who resides in Orem. After officers contacted the individual, it was discovered that the victim was not a professor at BYU but rather a graduate student. He has since graduated and no longer has any affiliation with the university.
Welfare Check Officers responded to the HBLL following a report of an elderly male whose pants had fallen down. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the individual, who was transient, and determined that he was experiencing mental health issues. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) was contacted, and the subject agreed to go with them to seek mental health assistance.
Medical An officer responded to the Indoor Practice Facility along with BYU EMS for a patient who had injured their right leg during an intramural soccer game. The patient was evaluated by BYU EMS but refused transportation by ambulance to the hospital. Instead, the patient chose to go to the hospital in a private vehicle.
Medical An officer from BYU was clearing the IPF when he was notified of a patient needing medical attention. The patient had been involved in intramural soccer and was evaluated by BYU EMS. BYU EMS requested assistance from Provo Fire, which responded and transported the patient to Utah Valley Hospital.
Trespassing Officers responded to Hinckley Hall following a report of two males trespassing in the female dormitory. An officer located both subjects, who were juveniles. The officers contacted the parents and released the juveniles at their request. Both juveniles were referred to juvenile court for trespassing.
