Suspicious Person
An officer was dispatched to the HBLL for a report of a suspicious male standing by a trashcan. The officer spoke with the reported individual and did not find anything suspicious about the individual. The officer did not see anything illegal about the individual's activities as they said they were waiting to give a friend a ride.

Criminal Mischief
The officer responded to the tunnel at Ellsworth Building regarding a report of criminal mischief. The officer photographed the graffiti and reviewed the cameras in the area but found nothing noteworthy. The report was forwarded to the investigations team to check with Provo PD to see if they recognized the tag. Dispatch submitted a request for the paint crew to respond to remove the graffiti.

Criminal Mischief
Report of an unlawful entry into a campus building in the East Campus area.
A caller reported that minor debris was scattered inside a building that is currently undergoing construction. Officers responded to the location, inspected the area, and determined that some minor damage had occurred. A security evaluation was conducted, and it was determined that additional security measures could be implemented. Currently, there is no ongoing threat to the public or the campus community. The case will remain under review for security measure evaluation.

Information
BYU Police were notified of a possible fraud attempt that had occurred in Virginia. The reporting party, a parent of a BYU student, received a phone call attempting to scam them out of money. Recognizing it as a scam, the parent did not send any money to the scammer. The reporting party requested that the information be documented in case BYU experienced similar incidents in the future.

Citizen Contact
A report was received regarding an individual potentially approaching campus who the caller believes poses a threat to them or their family member attending school there, based on prior interactions with the family. An officer contacted the caller to document the complaint and collect pertinent details. Currently, there is no immediate danger to the campus community, and university administration has been informed of the situation.

Lost Property
BYU Police received a report regarding lost keys in the BRWB. An officer collected the relevant details and documented the incident. The reporting party was issued a case number for internal tracking purposes.

Suspicious
An officer responded to a report of a suspicious drone flying above an apartment complex. After arriving at the scene, the officer conducted a thorough search of the area but did not locate the drone. The complainant preferred to remain anonymous and did not wish to be contacted.

Found Property
An officer was dispatched to pick up a wallet that was found in Lot 4 by the complainant. The officer identified the owner by a driver's license found in the wallet. The officer contact the owner and returned the wallet.

Trespassing
An officer was dispatched to the Bell Tower for a report of possible trespassers inside the building. The officer contacted the individuals inside the bell tower. One of the individuals was an authorized piano player who had been practicing. This individual is authorized to give tours and was doing so with some of his ward members. The officer did not find anything illegal in this incident.
