Medical
An officer responded to Smith Field House following an injury in the weight room. A student was preparing to lift weights and was stretching when he dislocated his shoulder. Provo EMS arrived on scene, provided treatment, and transported the student on a gurney. Once the student relaxed his muscles, his shoulder spontaneously realigned. The EMS team released him to a friend for transportation to the hospital.

Sick Person

Citizen Contact
A BYU security officer observed an older, disoriented woman walking eastbound on South Campus Drive while pulling a suitcase. Police officers responded to assist and discovered that she was visiting from out of state and was unfamiliar with the campus. They helped her locate her vehicle in lot 26 so she could leave.

Welfare Check
During routine patrols through Heritage Halls, a police officer noticed a male sleeping on an air vent outside Heritage 16. Recognizing the cold and rainy weather that night, the officer approached to assist. Upon inquiry, it was confirmed that the individual was an FSY employee who had arrived a day early and lacked an overnight accommodation. To ensure his safety and comfort, the officer granted him access to the commons area of the JKB, providing a warm, dry place to rest until the building opened for church services.
