Medical BYU Police responded to the Richards Building to assist with a juvenile who had sustained a small head laceration. Provo Medics arrived on scene, evaluated the patient, and cleared him for release.
Suspicious An officer responded to Lot 37 following a report of a verbal argument between a male and female. The reporting party observed them arguing, after which they separated and went in different directions. The officer located the male at the scene, who explained he was there playing soccer with his family and girlfriend. He indicated the argument was over another woman he has been dating. The male showed the officer her phone number, and the officer attempted to contact her to confirm her safety.
Trespassing An officer responded to the North Intramural Fields after reports of unauthorized individuals playing soccer on the closed field. Upon arrival, the officer found the south gate open and contacted the players, who were identified as BYU students. The officer issued a trespass warning for unauthorized use of the field, and the players departed. The officer then secured and locked the field to prevent further access.
Smoke Alarm – Carbon Monoxide BYU Police and Provo Fire responded to an incident at Wymount Terrace 9D after tenants reported their standalone CO alarm had gone off multiple times. Firefighters checked for hazardous gases and found none, concluding the alarm was likely caused by equipment malfunction. BYU Housing was notified and a housing representative was dispatched to address the issue.
