Medical A caller reported that an individual had crashed their scooter on the sidewalk near Heritage Halls. Officer and Provo EMS responded to the scene, where they found the conscious and alert subject. The individual stated he had fallen from his scooter, resulting in a broken tooth and a cut lip. He was transported to Utah Valley Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Medical An officer was dispatched to assist BYU EMS with an unconscious female in a restroom near room 1085, at the WSC, near the BYU EMS first aid station. Upon arrival, BYU police assisted in searching for the individual. The incident was later determined to be unfounded. It was also noted that a separate medical call in an adjacent building to the WSC may have been mistakenly reported as this incident.
Lost Property A caller initially reported losing her keys but later located them before officer arrival. The officer discontinued the response upon confirmation.
Missing Person Officer responded to Stover regarding two missing FSY juveniles. While speaking with the complainant, the officer observed two males resembling the juveniles, who had become separated and decided to return to their dorm room. All was resolved without incident, and the situation was resolved.
Theft A laptop theft was reported at the Richards Building (RB), and surveillance footage identified a suspect who was seen discarding a wallet. Police issued a photo of the suspect to a nearby Target store after discovering that Target gift cards had also been stolen. The suspect was subsequently located at the Provo Target during a shoplifting incident, where BYU Police arrested her and charged her with theft. Provo Police also responded to the scene and took the individual into custody for retail theft.
Medical Provo Paramedics and a police officer responded to the Richards Building field following a report of an injured intramural player. The patient was transported via private vehicle to an Instacare facility for further treatment.
Suspicious Officers responded to East Campus after Provo officers reported juveniles possibly on BYU's property. They located the juveniles in the abandoned former Park Plaza. After ensuring the area was safe, officers cleared East Campus.
