Medical BYU Police and EMS were dispatched to the Life Sciences Building (LSB) in response to a report of a student experiencing a medical issue. Upon arrival, EMS personnel assessed the individual and determined that no law enforcement assistance was necessary.
Accident A campus vehicle was struck and left unattended in Lot 4. An officer reviewed surveillance footage confirming the suspect vehicle's involvement. Contact was made with the registered owner, who identified his daughter, a student, as the driver. The driver contacted officers, and a crash report was filed. No injuries or charges resulted from the incident.
Information BYU Police responded to a report of a suspicious individual near Lot 30. Upon arrival, an officer encountered a male panhandling in the vicinity. As the individual was on public property and not violating any laws, the officer took no further action.
Theft An officer was dispatched to address a complaint regarding a bicycle theft that occurred several months prior. The complainant reported that their black electric bicycle was stolen sometime between February 1, 2025, and June 4, 2025. The complainant did not possess the serial number or specific model information of the bicycle. Currently, there are no suspect details or leads available.
Suspicious BYU Police responded to the JRCB after employees reported a suspicious individual. A male, estimated to be high-school-aged, was seen wandering through the building and entering office areas. An employee engaged with the male and was able to obtain only his first name. The individual left the premises after being confronted. No theft, damage, or other criminal activity was observed.
Chest Pain A student at WSC was reported to be experiencing a medical issue. BYU Police and EMS responded to the scene, where EMS personnel evaluated the individual. Following assessment, EMS determined that law enforcement assistance was not required.
Medical An officer responded to the RB Intramural Field regarding a student with a knee injury resulting from a collision between two players. BYU EMS arrived to assess and provide medical assistance. The injured player declined further treatment and did not require transportation. The player was released on the scene by BYU EMS.
Citizen Contact FSY reported an incident to police involving a juvenile participant who drove a stranger's truck through a parking lot. The event was captured on video footage, which was reviewed by an officer. It was determined that the juvenile was attempting to impress a friend by demonstrating his ability to drive a manual transmission. Following notification, a responsible adult picked up the juvenile.
