Welfare Check An officer responded to Heritage 15 for a welfare check after a concerned parent was unable to reach their son, an FSY participant, following news of a family friend's death. The officer contacted the FSY counselor and met with the participant, who then called their parent to confirm their well-being. The FSY counselor is continuing to follow up with both the participant and the parent.
Information A police officer took a report regarding a juvenile problem that reportedly involved a hazing incident or possible assault, which had been shared via video in a group chat of approximately 20 individuals. The potential victim was picked up by a parent and taken home, and while the parent contacted FSY, they did not reach out to police. The potential suspect remained at FSY at the time of the report. The incident is currently under active investigation.
Lost Property BYU Police responded to the LaVell Edwards Stadium (LVES) to assist an individual who lost their keys while attending the Stadium of Fire event. Officers were unable to locate any keys that had been turned in and advised the individual to check the WSC Lost and Found the following week.
