Theft A bicycle was reported stolen from WyView Park housing via email notification. An officer responded to the scene, contacted the victim, and learned that the bike, which was locked to a bike rack outside the residence, was taken sometime yesterday or overnight. The lock had been cut, and the bike is registered with BYU. The case is under investigation.
Agency Assist Officers responded to the Y-Trail head in response to the nearby Buckley Draw Canyon fire. Officers evacuated the Y-mountain and trail head parking lot.
Agency Assist A Provo police officer responded to 35 N. 300 W. in Provo to assist with an ongoing incident. During the response, the officer was informed that the suspects had already left the scene. While maneuvering to exit the parking garage, the officer accidentally backed into a concrete pillar, causing minor damage to the patrol vehicle’s driver's side rear bumper. Both the officer and a witness provided statements regarding the incident. Photographs of the patrol vehicle and the concrete pillar are attached to this report.
Campus Alarms and Lockouts Officers also responded to three alarms and two lockouts assisting the campus community during this reporting period.
