Animal Problem
The BYU Police Department responded to a report of an injured deer at Wyview Park behind Building 26. Upon arrival, officers observed the deer, which had a visible injury to its back leg, as it jumped from the bushes and moved toward the other side of Building 27. Despite its injury, the deer remained mobile. The officers notified dispatch of the deer's condition and decided to leave it undisturbed.

Agency Assist – Provo PD
Provo police responded to an accident on 900 East after a car ran off the road and collided with the MTC fence. The Provo Police handled the scene and the incident. A BYU officer responded for assistance.

Agency Assist – Orem PD
A Lost Prevention officer from Extra Mile/Chevron Store requested assistance from BYU PD in identifying a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident at 835 W University Pkwy, Orem. Surveillance footage shows a male wearing a BYU ID card and lanyard. A BYU officer spoke with the complainant, obtained a case number from Orem PD, and reviewed the footage. The officer will continue to follow up and provide any additional information to assist in the investigation.

Sexual Assault
A delayed report of a sexual assault was received from a third party located in a neighboring law enforcement jurisdiction. The caller indicated they were contacted by another third party who reported that the incident may have occurred on BYU campus. An officer later contacted the reporting party by phone. The incident is currently under investigation.

Medical
An individual hiking alone collapsed on the Y Trail, appearing to suffer a medical episode. Four passersby discovered the man lying on his back and called 911. CPR was administered by bystanders until paramedics from Provo Fire and BYU Police arrived. Despite efforts to revive him, the man was without a pulse and later died at the scene.

Accident – Hit & Run
A police officer responded to Lot 25 near Building 4 regarding a hit-and-run incident. Upon arrival, the officer found the vehicle parked curbside along the red curb. The vehicle owner explained that he had parked there and gone inside his residence, returning to find damage to the driver's side, specifically the rear panel and rear door. No witnesses were present, and there are no nearby security cameras to review. The officer documented the damage with photographs, and the driver provided a written statement about the incident.

Suspicious
A suspicious person was reported at the SAB. Officers found the individual working at his desk, who showed his student ID. Dispatch confirmed he was an employee. The person entered the building using a fingerprint scanner that did not register in dispatch.

Found Property
A BYU officer responded to Lot 34 regarding a found credit card. Dispatch located the owner's phone number, left a message at the JKB for the owner to pick up the card, and identified the owner as a security officer assigned to building security.
