Sick Person A female student at the Benson building reported feeling unwell after pricking her finger with a needle during class. BYU EMS and police responded to the scene, provided first aid, and released the student.
Agency Assist – Traffic Accident A female BYU student was involved in a traffic accident while riding a scooter in Provo city limits. Provo Police Department and EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to the Student Health Center for treatment.
Accident A minor accident occurred in the LSB basement parking structure, involving a BYU student and a staff member. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the damage to the vehicles was superficial. The parties exchanged information and photos were taken, with the incident being fully documented.
Accident – Hit & Run A vehicle was damaged while parked in lot #37 today. The incident is currently under investigation, and further follow-up is pending. No suspect information is available at this time.
Animal Problem A deer was struck by a car and left injured in the roadway on North University Parkway near the Brigham Young University (BYU) campus. Due to the deer's broken back, it was unable to move and posed a hazard to other vehicles. BYU officers responded, safely relocated the deer to a grass strip near the USB building, and humanely euthanized it with a single shot, following proper protocols and notification procedures.
Accident A vehicle struck a deer in the roadway at 708 E University Parkway, causing damage to the front bumper and hood. The officer took pictures of the damage, and the driver provided his contact information. The incident was documented and the driver was advised to contact his insurance company.
