Citizen Contact
A concerned person reported someone was pointing a green laser at people. Officers identified and contacted individuals in the apartment from where the laser had come. A person was identified and informed of the consequences they could receive if they continued this behavior. No further action was needed.

Threatening
A concerned mother contacted BYU Police to share a Snapchat picture she had received from her daughter, who had received it from someone else. The picture was associated with a threatening message. An officer identified and contacted all involved parties by phone. During the investigation, no direct threat was confirmed.

Medical
An officer and BYU EMS were called to a medical call at the men's restroom in the Helaman Halls. Upon arrival, BYU EMS administered medical aid to the complainant. Provo Paramedic was also present. The complainant seemed to get better, so, no transport was necessary. No further action was needed.

Lost Property
A student reported losing his wallet in the Heritage 24-hour store. An officer reviewed the security video and found that the student had dropped the wallet in the store. The officer found the wallet and returned it to the student. The student checked the wallet and reported nothing was missing.

Lost Property
Initial report was lost property. After contact with the complainant this is possibly an unfounded report. Complainant reported she was contacted by a University Department where she had an appointment yesterday. They informed her; she left without her property after her appointment. She collected her property from the Taylor Building, where she had her appointment. This case is closed unfounded.

Theft
An officer was dispatched to a delayed theft of a package from a porch in Wymount Terrace. The package was confirmed delivered by the carrier but was gone when the owner went to retrieve it.

Fraud
A complainant was defrauded money out of his banking account by a person claiming to be a representative from the bank. The person committing the fraud also opened two different accounts under the complainant's name. The complainant has contacted his bank, reported the fraud, and had the account closed. The complainant has closed one of the accounts fraudulently opened in his name and is working on closing the second account. The complainant has also contacted one of the three credit reporting bureaus and had an alert put on his name. The incident will be referred to investigations.
