Medical
The BYU Police Department responded to a medical emergency at the JFSB, where a patient exhibited stroke-like symptoms. Arriving alongside EMS and Provo Fire, officers learned she suffers from Hemiplegic migraines, a rare type of migraine that can cause temporary paralysis resembling a stroke. The patient was not hospitalized but was given a ride home to rest.

Found Property
A piece of jewelry was found at a sporting event and reported to the Marriott Center office. An officer responded, took custody of the item, and transported it to the WSC lost and found. Photos of the item are attached to the incident report.

Panic – Alarm
An officer responded to a panic alarm at the Music Building. Officers arrived and found a child had accidentally pushed the alarm. The officer reset the alarm and the system cleared.

Theft
A stolen moped from Lot 16 was reported last week, with the report delayed until today. The owner was contacted by phone to document the theft and is working to provide identifying information, including the VIN number.

Medical
BYU Police and BYU EMS responded to a cadaver lab classroom on report of a student who had fainted. The student was evaluated by EMS and released on scene to a roommate for observation.

Suspicious
A report was received about a suspicious person dressed in black hiding in the bushes near the outdoor bathrooms by the tennis building. Upon inspection, no one matching that description was found. Witnesses in the area did not see anyone but noted the smell of burnt marijuana. Security students later reported seeing an individual dressed in black walking south of the area several minutes prior to the report. No additional people matching the description were located during a thorough search of the surrounding areas.

Lost Property
A BYU officer responded via phone regarding a case of lost laundry bags at WY View. The complainant did not believe the bags were stolen, suspecting a case of mistaken laundry. Video footage showed someone picking up the bags, walking over, and then loading their laundry. The officer has left messages with RAs to help identify the individual responsible.
