Trespassing Three adult males were observed collecting signatures on BYU campus. After being contacted by BYU security and advised to stop, they were later located near the Cannon Center. Officers identified the individuals and issued three written warning citations and they were told to cease their activities on campus.
Welfare Check A concerned individual contacted BYU Police about a possibly distressed adult male, described as a student of Asian descent, seen near the Jamba Juice outside the Wilkinson Student Center. Officers searched the area, including the Cougar Den, bowling alley, and food court, but were unable to locate the individual.
Accident – Hit and Run Officers responded to a phone report of a possible hit-and-run in the visitor parking lot near WSC, suspected to have occurred Saturday night. Video review was conducted; however, due to poor lighting and camera distance, the incident could not be confirmed. The complainant was contacted and informed of the findings, expressing uncertainty about the location of the incident and gratitude for the review.
Theft The BYU Police Department responded to a theft report at the Smithfield house in the student weight room gym. The victim stated that he accidentally left his wallet in the gym around 1:30 PM. When he returned, he found the wallet but noticed that approximately $50 in cash was missing. Officers are reviewing surveillance footage of the area to identify any suspect.
Citizen Contact A BYU staff member reported concerns about an unidentified adult male on campus, expressing unease about his presence. An officer made in-person contact at the JKB and spoke with the staff member, who clarified that no specific criminal or suspicious activity
