Animal Problem
Officers responded to the MTC on a deer that was impaled on the fence. The deer was found by grounds. The fence post had gone through the deer's hind quarter and it was hanging from the fence. Officer had to humanely euthanize the deer, and with the help of grounds, the deer was removed from the fence and disposed of.
Accident PD
An officer assisted two motorists who were pulled off the roadway just after a traffic accident occurred. There were no injuries and both drivers stated they hit a sheet of ice and both vehicles slid into each other. Neither driver faulted each other. The officer gave them a driver exchange form and both drivers completed a statement. Both vehicles had damage to the driver’s side front bumper.

Welfare Check
An officer was dispatched on a Welfare Check on a student who was making threats of suicide. Friends of the student said that he was driving off campus in an attempt to cause a traffic accident. An Attempt to Locate was sent out to local agencies. It was later learned that the student was located in North Salt Lake and admitted to a mental health facility for evaluation and services.
Animal Problem
Officers were dispatched to the front gate of the MTC for an injured deer. The deer had two broken legs and was on 900 East. Provo Police arrived on scene shortly after BYU Officers. Provo Police Officers euthanized the deer.
Welfare Check
Officers responded to the Engineering building to the report of a female student was having suicidal ideations. Officer called her cell phone and she answered and stated she is at BYU Idaho. Rexburg police were contacted by dispatch and given her location.
Citizen Dispute
Officer responded to the Indoor Practice Facility to the complaint of several individuals who were playing football along the field while intramurals were being played. The players were asked to leave, and they were not cooperative. Upon officer arrival the players had left the building.
Criminal Mischief
Officer responded to the Harris Fine Arts Center to the report of rocks being thrown inside the building breaking light bulbs and ceiling tiles. The building is about to be demolished and it appears the vandalism occurred between 1830 hours yesterday and 0600 today.
Juvenile Problem
Officers responded to West Campus to the report of four juveniles skateboarding inside the building. They were located by officers, and they were run by dispatch for any local involvements. No pickup orders or involvements were found. They were given a warning to not skateboard on BYU campus.
Identity Fraud
Officers were dispatched on a phone contact regarding a delayed fraud. Contact was made with the reporting party who reported she is a victim of identity fraud. She stated her social security number was used to create and open a Verizon Wireless Account.
