Lost Property Officers responded by phone on a report of a lost 4400 master key for the MCKB. The complainant last had the key about a month ago and has not been able to locate the key since leaving work.
Theft A police officer returned a call to a complainant regarding a bicycle theft near Wymount Terrace apartments. The victim reported that their bike, which had a two-stroke engine attached, was stolen sometime between mid-December 2025 and January 24, 2026. No serial number was available, and there is no camera footage or suspect information at this time.
Theft A bike theft was reported via phone from the south side of the library. Video footage shows a suspect taking the bike from a rack and leaving campus, but the individual has not been identified. The bike could not be listed in NCIC, and its serial number is unknown.
Medical Officers and medical personnel responded to the Life Science Building at BYU campus to assist a female patient who had fainted during an education lab. After a thorough check, medical staff cleared the patient to continue.
Sick Person An officer and BYU EMS responded to a sick student at the IPF. EMS evaluated the student and suggested they see a doctor. The student chose to wait for her husband and would leave with him.
Suspicious Officers responded to the Riviera Apartments regarding a report of marijuana smell. Upon arrival, the smell had dissipated, but a complainant described seeing someone smoking a blunt and entering an apartment. Contact was made with the apartment and hall advisor, who found no signs of drug use. The residents denied any marijuana activity, and a warning was issued with instructions to report any future incidents.
Medical An individual with an injured knee at the Richards Building. Medical responded and took care of the incident. The student was injured while playing intramural sports.
Nuisance – Loud Music Officers responded to a noise complaint at Wymount 4A and contacted the tenants playing loud music. They were advised of the complaint and the city's noise ordinance hours. The tenant apologized and agreed to turn off the music for the night.
