Welfare Check
Officers responded to the west gate of the Ellsworth Building where a concerned employee reported that a female had been sitting on the ground outside for several hours with frost on her head. She was homeless and Officers transported her to the Food and Care Coalition.

Medical
Officers responded to the Wilkinson Center after a report of a patient being treated for a self-inflicted cut to the finger. Campus medical staff evaluated the individual and determined they did not require further assistance, releasing the patient from their care. A medic was able to stop the bleeding to the patient's left index finger.

Welfare Check
Officers responded to Heritage Halls following a report that a student may be suicidal. Upon contact, the student denied suicidal thoughts and reported ongoing communication with his support system. He was provided with information about CAPS for additional support if his situation changes.

Medical
BYU Police responded to Lot 33 after a bicyclist collided with an electric scooter rider resulting in some injuries. Officers facilitated the exchange of information between the two students without any incident.

Suspicious
A concerned student reported steam coming up from the grass and sidewalk area near Helaman Stover Hall. The officer checked the area and found that a hot water pipe had broken underground. Dispatch contacted the Campus Heating Plant who sent an employee to check the leak.

Accident
Officers responded to a late-reported hit-and-run crash in a parking lot near Lot 6. Video footage of the suspect vehicle and driver has been collected, but the suspect has not yet been identified.

Welfare Check
A police officer responded to the Y Trailhead after reports of a blinking flashlight near the Y, suggesting someone might need help. Upon arrival, the officer observed only headlights moving down the trail, which appeared to flicker due to surrounding foliage. Dispatch confirmed that their camera system did not detect any blinking lights on the mountain. The officer spoke with hikers exiting the trail, who stated they did not see anyone in distress during their hike.
