Unsecured Door
Officer observed an open door at the HFAC. Officer went and walked through the building and found no one present. Officer was unable to secure the door but was able to get the door closed because it was being held open by air pressure.

Information
A security plan and operations were submitted for President Dallin H. Oaks visit to campus. Officers were assigned various tasks and duties in preparation for his visit. Additional officers were scheduled to work.

Sick Person
A student experiencing dizziness and possible chest pain was evaluated by the BYU police and Provo fire departments after visiting the BYU EMS office. Following assessment, it was determined to be non-life-threatening. The officer then provided the student with a ride back to her apartment at Heritage Halls. No further incident occurred.

Civil Problem
A civil dispute arose between an Uber driver and a passenger after the passenger refused to exit the vehicle. When officers arrived, the passenger agreed to leave but appeared visibly upset. She was then provided a ride to her destination, and no further issues occurred.

Accident
A police officer was involved in a minor backing accident in Lot #1 while attempting to turn around, resulting in a collision with a parked vehicle. An accident report was filed, digital photos were taken, and Risk Management was notified. The officer also completed the necessary accident form for documentation.

Citizen Contact
A BYU police officer responded to a report of damage to a woman's car, which was keyed on the driver's side sometime between 10 a.m. and noon while she was at the devotional. Surveillance footage from the MTC T4 building confirmed that the damage did not occur in the parking lot, and the complainant was informed of the officer's findings.

A citizen contacted the police department to inquire about campus reporting procedures and victim advocacy services. Officer responded via phone call, provided guidance, and offered assistance.
