Suspicious
Officers responded to a report made by a concerned citizen of a loud noise. The complainant reported hearing what sounded like a gunshot or a firework near the area of the Marriott Center and Heritage Halls. The officers searched the area and spoke with pedestrians walking in the area. Officers observed no suspicious activity.
Suspicious
An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity in the Riviera parking lot. The complainant reported a male in dark clothing wearing a mask and looking into parked vehicles. The officer searched the parking lot and surrounding parking lots for a subject matching the complaint's description. The officer did not find anyone matching the description in the area and did not find any evidence of a vehicle burglary.

Animal Problem
An officer responded to the Botany Pond for a report of six individuals catching wild ducks at the pond. The officer arrived and made contact with the group. The three male members of the group took responsibility for catching the ducks. The officer warned the six individuals not to harass the ducks, and they left.
Disorderly
A concerned person reported several individuals throwing water balloons from the Maeser Hill trail at cars and people walking on 800 North at 200 East. The complainant tried confronting individuals, but they fled in a white truck with a temporary tag. Officers attempted to find and identify the truck and occupants but were unsuccessful.
Assault
An officer responded to a delayed report of an assault by phone. The officer made contact with the complainant. The complainant reported that while he was stepping out of the Richard's Building, a white truck drove by, and one of the occupants threw a water balloon at the victim. The victim reported receiving an injury to his chest. The officer recorded the incident, which matched another incident on campus the same evening.
Medical
A student playing intramural soccer in the IPF ran into another player and injured their knee. BYU EMS provided first aid, wrapped the knee, and released the player on the scene.
Theft
An electric bike was stolen at a student housing bike rack. The suspect was located on surveillance. Further follow-up is be completed.
Accident
An auto pedestrian accident occurred in Lot 16. The cyclist was struck in the crosswalk at low speeds. The driver is at fault for failing to yield right of way to a pedestrian. The cyclist refused transport and further medical attention.
Medical
An officer was dispatched to the Cannon Center kitchen on a report of a female felling lightheaded. The officer advised dispatch they would not be responding unless EMS requested assistance once they arrived. EMS did not request an officer.
Medical
Dispatch initially sent an officer on a medical, which was the result of an auto pedestrian-cyclist crash. Police corrected dispatch and asked for a traffic accident PI case. Dispatch started a second case. See other case for full details.
