Sick Person Officers and Provo Fire/EMS responded to a report of a sick person at May Hall. The patient's mother, monitoring her remotely, was concerned about a low blood sugar reading and her daughter's unresponsiveness to calls. Officers contacted the patient, who stated she felt fine. EMS checked her vitals, which were normal, and determined the monitor's reading was likely inaccurate due to improper placement.
Accident A BYU PD officer was contacted via email by a student who believed they had backed their car into another vehicle and was seeking to identify the owner. Despite efforts, no video footage was available in the area, and the other vehicle could not be located.
Fire Alarm The fire alarm at the Merrill Building in Helaman Halls apartments was triggered by smoke from residents cooking in the basement rec room kitchen. It was confirmed there was no fire, only smoke caused by a sheet pan with bacon grease. The alarm was silenced, but despite waiting for fire technicians, none arrived, and dispatch was unable to contact them to reset and check the alarm system.
