Alarm
Officers responded to a door-held-open alarm at the ESC. Dispatch reported a student seen on video leaving the building with the door not closing behind them. Officers located the door ajar, secured it properly, and no further action was necessary.

Alarm
A violated door alarm for door #10 was reported. The door was found to be shut and securely closed. Despite several unsuccessful attempts to clear the alarm, dispatch was advised of the situation, and a work order was subsequently placed for further action.

Lost Property
A BYU officer responded to SFH regarding a possible stolen or lost Segway. The complainant explained that they had left their Segway leaning against an identical one without locking it, assuming they wouldn’t be long inside. Video footage showed a male leaving SFH, approaching the identical Segway, and without hesitation, getting on it and leaving. Officers tracked the individual to the gym entrance, where they contacted him. The subject believed he had unlocked his Segway, but after discussing the situation, he agreed to return with the Segway. When he returned, officers observed that his Segway was still locked; he apologized, unlocked it, and left. The officer then contacted the complainant and returned their Segway.

Robbery Alarm
A report from BYU Security prompted BYU Police Officers to respond to the Creamery on Ninth after a panic robbery alarm was triggered. However, upon arrival and investigation, officers found that the cameras indicated no suspicious activity and confirmed that no robbery was in progress. It was determined that the cashier had accidentally pressed the panic button, which was later reset by officers.

Suspicious Circumstance
A complainant reported hearing what she believed to be a gunshot and requested officers to check the area. Officers conducted a thorough search but observed nothing suspicious, heard no additional gunshot sounds, and received no reports of any disturbances from others. After the check, the complainant was informed that nothing suspicious was found, and she appreciated the officers' efforts in checking the area.
