Welfare Check Officers responded to a welfare check at the Tanner Building parking structure. A female student was sitting on the wall with her legs over the edge of the top level on the south side of the parking garage. Contact was made and she was only talking to her mom on the phone. Nothing else concerning was observed and she was asked to find a safer place to have her phone conversations.
Accident An officer responded to Parking Lot 13 on BYU campus following a report of a vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the complainant who stated that he was attempting to park in a lined parking space when he lightly contacted the rear passenger side of Vehicle 1. Vehicle 2, which was parked nearby, was unoccupied at the time. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, likely buffable. The officer facilitated the exchange of information between parties, and photos of the incident are attached to this report.
Accident A traffic accident with property damage only was reported at Lot 40 near the Tanner Building. Officers arrived to find the drivers had already exchanged information and contacted their insurance companies. Photos were taken to document the scene, and a report was taken.
Suspicious Officers responded to a report of a suspicious male at the entrance of the Motion Picture Studio. The individual was observed on security video pushing leaves around in the corner of the outside green gate, possibly attempting to bury something in the dirt along the fence. A thorough check of the area revealed no evidence of anything left behind, and nothing suspicious was found during the search. The motives of the person remain unknown. Security was advised to call back if the individual returned.
