Mental Subject
An officer responded to a report of an elderly man exhibiting odd behavior, suspected to be experiencing mental health issues. Upon arrival, the officer discovered that the man, who identified himself as having dementia, had lost his phone and was seeking assistance from others to contact his wife. The officer successfully reached the man's wife, who was patiently waiting for him outside, and escorted him to her vehicle. After ensuring the man was safe, the officer concluded the incident with no further action required.

Civil Problem
A complainant reported potential fraud after purchasing a vehicle from a student, expressing concern over the title not being transferred. The complainant bought the vehicle just one day prior and worried about the title's status. The officer contacted the seller, who claimed he had paid off the vehicle loan and was waiting for the title to be issued. The officer also reached out to the DMV investigations unit, which informed us that the complainant should allow the seller 30 days to provide the title. Both parties are maintaining communication with the officer, and the DMV noted that failure to receive the title would result in a civil matter.

Welfare Check
An employee from the BYU Dean of Students Office requested a welfare check on a student who had not attended class or communicated for a week. An officer tried to reach the student but was unsuccessful. However, the officer contacted the student's parent, who confirmed she had spoken with her daughter four days prior. As there was no indication of any danger to the student, the officer relayed this information to the Dean of Students and no further actions were pursued.

Medical
After a volleyball game at SFH, officers were notified of an individual experiencing chest pain. BYU EMS and the Provo Fire Department responded promptly to the scene. Upon assessment, medical staff determined that the issue was not cardiac-related. Ultimately, it was decided that the patient would be transported to the hospital by his wife.

Citizen Contact
A police officer contacted a member of the public who had been slowly stumbling through the road by the crosswalk on the east side of the Tanner Building. The officer checked on the individual to see if he was injured or intoxicated. After speaking with him, it was clear to the officer that the individual was not intoxicated but did have an older injury that appeared to be healing.

Medical
An officer responded to the Indoor Practice Facility for an injured soccer player who had been kicked in the ankle by another player during an intramural sports game. BYU EMS evaluated the player and released them, allowing the player to stay for the remainder of the game.
