Medical Provo Fire/EMS responded to the UTA stop at 900 N and approximately 750 E following a report of an adult male exhibiting signs of a seizure. A BYU officer responded to assist, but the individual was not affiliated with the BYU campus. The subject was non-communicative and was transported by Provo ambulance to the hospital. There was no indication of criminal or suspicious activity.
Disturbance A police officer was dispatched to the Creamery on Ninth East (CONE) following reports of a disturbance involving a protestor holding a sign reading "the end is nigh" and filming activities. The officer activated their body-worn camera and entered the establishment, where they conversed with a student supervisor who confirmed that the group was not causing any disruptions and likely had prior authorization to film. The officer was then introduced to full-time manager Keith LeBaron, who recalled receiving an email about the film project. After advising Mr. LeBaron on how to contact the police if needed, the officer exited the building, having cleared the scene without incident. Body-worn camera footage has been attached to the report for documentation.
Found Property A $50 bill was found on the second floor of the EB and turned into the Police Department. The person who found the money slipped the bill under the south door of the Police Department and notified Dispatch. The officer placed the money in a white envelope labeled with a case number and left it in Lost and Found at the WSC.
Alarms Officers also responded to 12 campus alarms during this reporting period.
