Tunnel Alarm
BYU officers responded to a beam alarm in the tunnels near the Talmage Data Center. After inspecting the area, they contacted a maintenance worker who confirmed he had triggered the alarm.

Fire – Gas Smell
A steam leak occurred in the high temperature room at the Cannon Center. Initially reported as a natural gas leak, crews were dispatched to address the issue. Upon arrival, officers determined that the leak was caused by a gasket failure in a high-temperature steam line. Provo Fire also responded to assess and ensure the situation was under control.

Animal Problem
A report was received about a deer inside the construction fence at the ASB construction site. Officers responded and observed a deer inside the fence. The deer was not in distress and did not interfere with any campus activity. The deer remained on site, and no further police action was taken.

Lost Property
Officers were requested to assist in locating lost headphones. Prior to arrival, the headphones had been located and no assistance was needed.

Citizen Contact
Officers responded to a report of a possibly stolen vehicle in lot 36. they located the vehicle in lot 34, where it had been parked today. The owner had forgotten which lot they had parked in.

Robbery Alarm
A BYU officer responded to a panic alarm triggered at the CONE. After checking cameras and observing the area appeared normal, the officer arrived and monitored the scene from the window before entering. Confirming everything was secure (okay), the officer found the alarm was accidentally pressed by an employee, who apologized. The officer then reset the alarm, concluding the incident.
