Alarm – Lost Officer Officers responded to a tunnel door alarm in the basement of Heritage Building #3. The door was securely locked, and no one was found in the surrounding tunnels. During the investigation, one officer briefly lost his way in the tunnel system and had to clear cobwebs to find his exit.
Citizen Contact – Possible Domestic Problem The BYU police department was contacted by a person wanting to report a possible domestic violence situation. Officers, along with the department's victim's, advocate responded to the location to get more details. The case is under investigation.
Criminal Mischief A vehicle owner reported to BYU Police that an unknown suspect threw a glass bottle at his car while he was driving near the duck pond on 800 East. The bottle shattered on the hood, and two juvenile males were seen running away up the stairs. Despite attempts to pursue them, the suspects escaped through the park and remain unidentified. Camera footage from the incident timeframe had been purged due to the delay in reporting. Seeking additional information.
