Information A police officer received a Child Abuse and Neglect report from the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS). The officer contacted the DCFS case worker, who stated that no assistance was needed at this time. The case was related to a prior family issue involving the same family on campus.
Medical At the women's conference, a woman fell outside the Tanner Building, injuring her side and knee. Provo ambulance staff examined her on the scene and decided she did not need to be hospitalized. Despite her injuries, she worked with event staff to continue attending the next lecture.
Accident A vehicle was hit while it was parked on 150 East by the tennis courts. The other vehicle did not stop and the other driver and vehicle are unknown.
Alarm The office responded to a report of a beam alarm in the maintenance tunnels. Upon inspection, the area was checked thoroughly, and everything appeared to be normal and secure.
Accident – Hit and Run A vehicle was observed backing into another car while leaving a parking aisle. The offending vehicle then fled the scene. A witness obtained the license plate, and the driver was later contacted. Information was exchanged between parties.
Women’s Conference Several campus officers were assigned to oversee the Women’s Conference at the university. Additionally, church security and police were stationed at the Marriott Center to provide security for a visiting apostle.
