Fire – Gas Smell An officer responded to the USB dock area near the Campus Floral following a report of a gas smell. Provo Fire and BYU EMS responded and determined the odor was not gas, but was coming from a nearby storm drain.
Accident In Lot 50 on BYU Campus, a minor collision occurred between two vehicles. There were no injuries and very minor damage.
Accident A BYU student reported crashing his motorized scooter on Campus Drive after a vehicle turned left in front of him. The student sustained road rash and was treated by BYU EMS. The driver of the vehicle left the scene, unaware of the crash, but has since been identified by BYU police who are attempting to contact him for further follow-up.
Medical An officer responded to a medical call at the WSC. BYU EMS treated a patient who reported neck pain stemming from an off-campus auto accident earlier that day. BYU EMS stabilized the patient with a neck brace and transferred her to Provo Fire for transport to Utah Valley Hospital, per her request.
Weapons Offense Officers responded to a report of a weapons offense at the NCAA track. Upon arrival, they determined the weapon in question was a BB gun. The juvenile's father took possession of the BB gun, and officers confirmed that no threat or brandishing had occurred.
Accident Officers responded to a traffic accident in lot 45. There were no injuries and only minor damage. Both parties requested to exchange information.
Accident An officer investigated a hit-and-run accident at BYU Lot 45. The complainant's vehicle sustained significant damage to the front bumper while parked between 8:45 am and 4:00 pm. An accident report was filed, and the complainant was provided with the case number.
