Upon arrival, officers confirmed all doors were secure and conducted a thorough walk-through of the building, finding nothing out of place. Accident Officers responded to a traffic accident at the Harman Building involving a BYU employee. The employee, driving a BYU-owned vehicle, struck an unoccupied BYU vehicle while leaving the loading dock. There was no damage to the moving vehicle and minor damage to the parked vehicle's mirror.
Alarm – Carbon Monoxide An officer responded to a CO alarm in an apartment and found Provo Fire on scene, confirming elevated CO levels in the rear bedroom, living room, and water heater closet. BYU Housing was en route to assist. Upon arrival, housing personnel inspected the apartment and identified a window-mounted AC unit as the source of the issue. The tenant was allowed to re-enter the residence and was advised to leave a window cracked to ensure proper ventilation.
Suspicious A police officer responded to a report of a suspicious male seen rummaging through a construction dumpster. The caller expressed concern for their safety. Upon arrival, the officer was unable to locate anyone matching the description. After reviewing security camera footage, the officer discovered that the call had been made with an hour delay, and no ongoing incident was observed.
