Accident A blue Toyota Camry backed out of a parking space in lot 16 and collided with a white Subaru Outback, resulting in minimal damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. The incident has been documented as a non-reportable accident.
Gas Smell Officer responded to HR 3 for a reported gas smell. Provo Fire Department and BYU Housing also responded to the scene. No gas was detected.
Welfare Check Officers responded to MLRP for a welfare check after a caller reported a male walking around the park and talking to himself. Upon contact, the individual stated he was searching for a friend named Todd. He was advised to leave the campus and complied. This individual has been on campus twice within the past week, resulting in previous calls to dispatch.
Medical An officer responded to Richards Building regarding an injured intramural player. BYU EMS also arrived and provided a medical assessment, during which the patient declined transportation to the hospital. The patient was released in accordance with EMS protocols.
Citizen Contact – Hit and Run A report was received regarding a hit-and-run incident in the parking lot of the Richards Building. Officers responded to the scene but did not observe any damage on the reported vehicle that could be attributed to a recent incident. Officers are reviewing surveillance footage and will continue to investigate.
