Dispatch attempted contact via phone and text with no response. The individual’s possible location was identified in a neighboring jurisdiction, which was notified to assist in the response.
Accident An accident occurred in Lot 34 involving two vehicles. The driver of a black Toyota 4Runner accidentally clipped a parked gray Toyota Camry, causing the front bumper of the Camry to become partially dislodged.
Accident A white Subaru Forester was parked in lot 49 during a high school graduation event. While the driver and passengers were away from the vehicle, an unknown car sideswiped it and fled the scene. The Subaru was parked near a corner where vehicles frequently turned, and surveillance footage revealed that nearby trees obstructed the view of the incident. A note was found on the vehicle that read, "I am so sorry, someone came around the corner and hit me into you," suggesting that the driver was attempting to hide their actions from potential witnesses. The case is under investigation.
Trespassing The BYU police department received a complaint of trespassing on the North university fields. A coach who arrived a few minutes before police, was able to verify that the male individual was one of the lacrosse players that had arrived early for practice, no action was taken.
Citizen Dispute Officers responded to the LSB regarding a citizen dispute between the complainant and another party. Upon arrival, the other party had already left the scene. The dispute was centered around the failure to wipe off whiteboards after writing what appeared to be school-related work. No criminal activity was identified during the incident.
Accident – Hit and Run An officer responded to a hit-and-run incident in Lot 20. After reviewing security footage of the accident, the officer was unable to determine the vehicle's license plate. A formal accident report will be completed, and the case will be referred for further investigation.
Suspicious Activity The complainant reported observing three children climbing into the enclosure near the generator by the LSB, dressed in T-shirts and basketball shorts. An inspection of the generator enclosure and surrounding area revealed no one inside or present nearby, and no damage or items were missing. The children could not be located during the follow-up search.
