Information – Possible Disorderly Conduct The BYU Police Department responded to a report questioning whether the phrase "Be proud of your white heritage" written on a whiteboard constituted hate speech. Officers spoke with the complainant at the JRCB and found no clear criminal act without further context about intent, target, or setting. It was later revealed that the statement was old, having been there since the previous week when a similar incident occurred, and had not been erased along with other comments.
Theft A bicycle was reported stolen from the bike racks at the Taylor Building. There are no surveillance cameras covering the area, and no suspect information is available.

Medical Assist A 15-year-old with a history of Crohn's disease was evaluated by Officer and Provo Fire after reporting back pain. Having been seen earlier this week by a Provo medic familiar with the patient, the responders assessed his vital signs as normal. After updating the mother, they decided not to transport him. Instead, the officer provided a ride for the juvenile and two adult counselors back to their dorm for the night.
Theft A late report has been received regarding a scooter theft from the bike rack at Heritage 5. No suspect information is available at this time. The case remains under investigation.
