Violated Door Alarm An officer responded to the Eyring Science Center for a door alarm. The officer found that a BYU maintenance employee had used the door and was working in the area.
Forced Door Alarm An officer responded to the University Services Building for a door alarm. Upon arrival, the officer found delivery trucks and BYU employees actively working in the area.
Duress Alarm A duress alarm was accidentally pressed at the Music Building. An officer responded, verified that everything was copacetic, and reset the alarm.
Trauma An officer responded to Heritage Halls after a juvenile female hit her head, which caused a small laceration. BYU and Provo EMS personnel evaluated the juvenile and helped clean up the wound.
Trauma An officer responded to Heritage Halls for another head injury (not the same one as earlier). A juvenile male had hit his head on a concrete wall, which caused a small laceration. The bleeding had stopped prior to the officer's arrival, and the juvenile and his parents denied any further medical attention.
Forced Door Alarm Officers responded to the University Press Building after a transient male had entered the building via an unsecured door, which triggered a door alarm. Officers located and identified the male before he willingly left the area. No force was used, and no issues arose during the interaction.
Theft An officer took a report of a stolen purse at Heritage Halls. A female set her purse down while taking photos with a group of her friends. When she returned later to retrieve the purse, it had disappeared. The purse may end up at a lost and found center around campus, but it is currently being treated as a theft until more information is obtained.
