Agency Assist BYU Police responded to a trespassing report at the old Wasatch Elementary School. Officers discovered that juveniles were trespassing at the abandoned apartments near 910 N. 900 E. They contacted the juveniles and their parents, then coordinated with Provo PD, who took over the case. The juveniles were released to responsible family members.
Trespassing On June 7, 2025, at approximately 0500 hours, an officer responded to the Heating Plant following a delayed forced door alarm. Security camera footage reviewed by Security Dispatch revealed three males wearing shorts and hoodies exiting an underground tunnel door around 0350 hours. The individuals appeared not to be employees or contract workers. The Police Dispatch Center is currently examining the security footage to determine how the suspects gained access to the underground tunnels.
Medical BYU Police and Provo Fire responded to a report that an individual who might be suffering from sunburn and heat stroke due to prolonged exposure at Bear Lake. Upon arrival, Provo Fire advised the patient to go to the hospital. The patient was then transported to the hospital in a personally owned vehicle driven by the roommate.
