Animal Problem An officer responded to a report of a dog left in a vehicle, but the vehicle was no longer at the scene upon arrival. The officer contacted the owner by phone and left a message. No signs of criminal or suspicious activity were found.
Welfare Check Officers responded to assist MTC Security regarding a subject reported to be experiencing emotional distress on the MTC fields. The individual was contacted and identified; he denied suicidal intent but acknowledged ongoing mental health concerns and acknowledged he had ample resources. The subject complied and left the area without incident.
Traffic Accident A BYU officer received a delayed report of a traffic accident in Lot 20. The complainant stated their parked vehicle was backed into by another vehicle. Both drivers exchanged information at the scene.
Fire Alarm An officer responded to the HBLL for a fire alarm and determined it was falsely triggered by carpet cleaning activities. The alarm was silenced and acknowledged, and BYU Electricians were notified of the incident. The officers continued hourly fire checks in the HBLL until 0600 hours.
Medical Officers responded to Chipman Hall for a report of a student who felt they might have a seizure. Upon arrival, the student advised they were feeling fine and declined medical assistance. Officers and Provo Fire cleared the scene.
