CO – Alarm
An officer responded to a carbon monoxide (CO) alarm at WT 15E, where Provo Fire and BYU Housing were also present. The tenants outside reported being instructed to leave the apartment with doors and windows closed. Provo Fire tested the air and confirmed hazardous levels of CO, prompting a call to the gas company for further investigation. BYU Housing personnel arrived to assess the situation, and the officer provided all relevant information before clearing the scene. Dispatch confirmed that BYU Risk Management had been notified of the incident

Welfare Check
An officer responded to a complaint regarding a homeless individual resting near the southwest side of the USB building. Upon arrival, the officer found the man sitting in the shade, eating food. As the officer approached, the man stood up and began to leave. The officer made contact, asked if he needed assistance, and was assured he did not. The individual was carrying a boxed lunch and a water bottle.

Breathing Problem
Officers responded to the Tanner building parking lot regarding a female having trouble breathing. Provo medics evaluated her and released her to her husband, with no further action required.

Information
An officer responded to a report involving Big D. Construction at the new Fine Arts Building site, where a handgun was allegedly found in a portable toilet. The contractor, Mike, reported that the firearm was no longer present when an employee returned to investigate. He mentioned twelve subcontractors were on site when the handgun was seen and promised to provide their names by June 20th. The officer confirmed that firearms are prohibited on campus, and the contractor acknowledged that such possession violates company policy.

Medical
An officer was dispatched to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) to assist BYU EMS with an adult female suspected of heat exhaustion. Upon arrival, the patient, unaccustomed to Utah's heat, reported feeling unwell. She was transported by MTC staff to Utah Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Welfare Check
Parents of a BYU student called to report that they had had no contact with their adult daughter since she was taken to the hospital earlier that week by BYU police officers. They were concerned about er safety, as she suffers from multiple mental health issues and could possibly be actively suicidal. Officers checked the student's apartment, the hospital, the security camera system, and spoke with former roommates to locate her. Eventually, it was discovered that the student had left the hospital on the same day she was admitted. Since the hospital is located within Provo jurisdiction and that was her last known location, the case has been transferred to the Provo City Police.

Suspicious
An officer responded to a report involving two teenage girls attending For the Strength of Youth (FSY) at Heritage Halls. The counselor expressed concern after the girls left the building with an unidentified adult male who refused to provide his name. Attempts to contact the girls' parents were unsuccessful; the father declined further communication after a brief exchange. The officer advised the father to contact BYU Dispatch if the girls were not with him, ensuring their safety. The situation was documented, and the parents were notified of the incident.

Medical
Medical responded to a report of a severe allergic reaction involving a juvenile FSY participant, BYU Police and Provo Fire arrived to find the patient speaking normally, breathing without difficulty, and showing no signs of distress such as an elevated heart rate. The patient reported swollen tonsils but had been treated with Benadryl by FSY medical staff. After evaluation, firefighters determined there were no life-threatening symptoms, and the patient was not transported to the hospital. The juvenile's parents were notified by FSY staff.
