Door Alarm
BYU Police responded to a door alarm at the Talmage Building. The door was found closed and secured, with no identifiable reason for the alarm activation. BYU Security was notified of the false alarm.

Audible Alarm
Officers responded to an audible fire alarm at the Food‑to‑Go Building. The alarm was determined to be beeping only from the fire control box. At the request of BYU fire technicians, the alarm was silenced. No issues were found in the building.

Audible Alarm
An officer responded to an audible alarm at the Life Sciences Building greenhouses. The fire panel was located, and the alarm was silenced. No further concerns were identified.

Unconscious
A 15‑year‑old FSY participant collided heads with another juvenile during a game and briefly fell to the ground. Medical staff evaluated the male and noted only a small red mark on his head. After consulting with his mother, they determined that no hospital transport or further medical care was needed.

Citizen Contact
An individual reported that a trailer appeared to have been stolen from Lot 4. After investigation, the officer determined the trailer had been moved by a BYU employee in preparation for parking lot resurfacing. No theft had occurred.

Juvenile Problem
FSY staff reported a juvenile problem involving a participant who became frustrated during a group activity and hit two other juveniles. The boys were separated and checked for injuries; none were reported. Parents were contacted, but none of the involved parties wished to pursue an investigation or law enforcement action. The case was documented for information only.

Lost Property
A backpack and laptop were reported lost at the Heber J. Grant Building. After reviewing surveillance footage, officers located the items and returned them to the owner.

Theft
A complainant reported the theft of a battery‑powered leaf blower left outside while they briefly test‑drove a vehicle they were repairing. The tool was missing upon their return. There are no suspects at this time, and the case remains under investigation.

Animal Problem
Officers responded to a report of an injured deer. The area was checked, but the deer could not be located. Similar reports have been received, but the deer appears to be mobile and functioning despite an apparent leg injury.

Suspicious
A male described as approximately 6'5", with facial scruff, a calf tattoo, and wearing a black shirt, was reported taking photos on campus, including images with EFY participants in the background. The complainant spoke to the male and requested that he speak with BYU Security. The male explained that he was using his truck to advertise his business and was unaware that advertising on campus requires permission. He agreed to leave without any police involvement.

Agency Assist
Officers assisted Provo Police due to a conflict of interest involving a reported stolen cell phone. When the officer contacted the reporting party, the phone had just been returned to her house. Officers believe that no criminal intent was involved. The case was documented for information only.

Trespassing
Officers responded to reports of teenage boys near the construction‑zone fencing at Wymount Terrace, possibly attempting to enter the restricted area. Officers checked the perimeter and walked through the construction site. The juveniles were no longer present, and no damage or vandalism was found.
