Fire Alarm
An officer responded to a fire alarm at the Wilkinson Student Center after a Facilities employee reported accidentally cutting a refrigerant line. The resulting dust triggered the alarm. The officer and an electrician confirmed there was no fire and no injuries. The alarm system was reset.

Medical Call
BYU EMS, Provo Fire, and a BYU officer responded to the Arts building after a BYU employee was exposed to a cleaning chemical in their eyes. First aid, including flushing, was administered on scene, but irritation persisted. The patient was evaluated and transported by paramedics to Utah Valley Hospital for further treatment. BYU Risk Management was notified.

 Abandoned 911 Call
Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call but were initially unable to contact the caller. After checking the area and finding no emergency, dispatch later reached the caller and confirmed the call was accidental, with no response needed.

Theft
An officer investigated a delayed theft reported at the Richards Building on June 24, 2026. The complainant reported a missing right shoe containing a $450 custom insole. After checking multiple locations, the item was not located. Surveillance footage was reviewed, but no suspect was identified. The case is pending further information.

Information
A complainant reported that her sister was filmed by a social media content creator at Cougar Eats on June 23, 2026, and the video was posted online without consent. The creator refused to remove the video when requested. The complainant was advised that the situation was not criminal but could be addressed through Instagram or Title IX. The incident was documented for information.

Traffic Offense
An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver in Lot 45 but was unable to locate the vehicle upon arrival. The officer checked several nearby lots with no success locating the vehicle.
