Information Report The complainant contacted a police officer seeking guidance following a difficult breakup with her boyfriend. The officer discussed general relationship concerns, including harassment and stalking, but determined neither applied to the situation. The complainant was given general advice and referred to a BYU Victim Advocate for additional support if needed.
Traffic Accident A BYU student driving a university vehicle turned too sharply and struck the rear bumper of a parked vehicle in Lot 16. An accident report was completed, and both parties were provided with a case number for the non-reportable accident.
Duress Alarm An officer responded to a duress alarm at the Dean of Students Office in the WSC. Dispatch checked security footage and observed no issues, suggesting the alarm may have been accidental. The officer confirmed that an employee had unintentionally activated the alarm by spinning in her chair.
Tunnel Alarm Officers were dispatched to a tunnel door alarm near the Eyring Science Center. While in route, they were advised to cancel the response after staff gained access through the door. Officers arrived on scene prior to the cancellation.
