Medical
BYU Police and EMS responded to a report of stomach pain from an adult female. EMS personnel assessed and treated the patient at the scene. The patient was released to the care of family members with instructions on follow-up care. No law enforcement action was taken.

Unsecured Door
During a routine patrol near JFSB, an officer discovered multiple exterior doors left unsecured, seemingly held open by air pressure. The officer closed the doors and conducted a thorough search of the area, ensuring no suspicious activity was present. Janitorial staff were observed inside the building, and no signs of criminal activity were detected during the patrol.

Information
An officer received fifteen reports of Child Abuse and Neglect from DCFS, all related to a single incident involving a student at FSY. The student had sent a text message containing a sexual innuendo to fifteen other students. The specific nature of the innuendo was not disclosed in the KANR documentation. The incident is under investigation.

Lost Property
A person contacted the BYU Police Department regarding a possibly lost Black Fidelo wallet, which may have been misplaced at the WSC/JSB or one of the intramural fields during FSY last week. A detailed description of the wallet and its contents was recorded. A report was filed, and the officer advised the individual that they would be notified if the wallet is recovered.

Lost Property
An officer was dispatched regarding the theft of a backpack. Upon reviewing surveillance footage, it was determined that custodial staff had taken the backpack. The officer contacted the custodial personnel, who confirmed they had secured the backpack. The backpack was immediately returned to the complainant, who verified that all personal items were accounted for and had been turned in.

Fire Alarm – Smoke Smell
A caller reported a smell of smoke inside an apartment at Riviera Apartments and requested the fire department. Responding officers, along with Provo EMS/Fire, checked the location but found no activated alarms or unsafe levels of smoke. The source of the smell remained unidentified.

Found Property
While patrolling South Campus Drive, an officer was approached by a family who turned in a found wallet. The officer contacted the wallet’s owner, who came to the station to retrieve it. After verifying identity with a BYU ID card, the owner confirmed all belongings were intact and took possession of the wallet.

Medical
An unknown medical incident occurred at Y Trailhead parking lot involving an adult male who was found conscious but unresponsive. Officer responded alongside Provo EMS, and the subject was transported to Utah Valley Hospital for further evaluation. Witnesses reported the individual appeared to be under unspecified duress while in his vehicle. The officer secured the vehicle before leaving the scene.

Extortion
An officer responded to Heritage (HR) regarding an incident involving a parent of an FSY (For the Strength of Youth) participant. The participant had sent a compromising photo via their phone and was quickly contacted by an unknown individual who attempted to extort them for $200. The suspect threatened to release the photo publicly if the money was not sent. All pertinent information was collected, and the case will be referred to investigations for further follow-up.

Suspicious
A caller reported a possible homeless individual in the LSB. The subject was asked to leave as the building was closing. They were last seen checking the doors of nearby buildings. Officers responded, checked the area on foot and by vehicle, and did not locate the individual.
