Seizures
The BYU Police Department received a report of a medical emergency at Heritage Halls, Building 11, Room 1101. Upon arrival, officers were joined by the Provo Fire Department and BYU EMS, who were responding to a 16-year-old female experiencing a seizure. The cause of the seizure is unknown at this time, though it was noted the individual has a history of seizures. The patient was stabilized and transported to Utah Valley Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Medical
The BYU Police Department and BYU EMS responded to a report of an injury at the Smith Fieldhouse weight room. Upon arrival, responders found an individual who had sustained a finger injury. BYU EMS conducted an assessment and provided the patient with an ice pack for treatment.

Medical
The BYU Police Department received a report of a possible broken toe involving a camp participant at the Cannon Center. An officer and BYU EMS responded to the scene, followed shortly by the Provo Fire Department. The participant was evaluated by fire personnel, and her parents were notified of the situation. After consultation with the parents, it was determined that the participant could be released with an ice pack and ibuprofen for pain management.

Seizures
An officer responded to a medical emergency at the BYU Store involving an 18-year-old female experiencing a seizure. FSY staff promptly summoned medical assistance. BYU EMS and Provo Fire Paramedics arrived on scene to provide aid. FSY administration was notified, and fire personnel requested that the patient's family be contacted. The patient's grandmother responded and transported her granddaughter from the scene. Both FSY staff and BYU EMS completed incident reports containing the participant's name and personal information.

Animal Problem
On-line report of an animal problem. The complainant reported an injured deer crossing the street that appears to have been hit by a car. The officer drove through the area and couldn't locate the deer. The officer also walked around on foot looking for the injured animal. Unfounded.

Welfare Check
The BYU Police Department received a report of a disturbance in the mother's room of the Nichols Building, where a caller expressed concern about someone yelling and screaming. Officers responded to the scene and contacted the individual involved. The person confirmed they were not in distress and had been engaged in a heated phone conversation. Officers requested that she continue the conversation outside to avoid disturbing others. The individual agreed and left the building without further incident.

Medical
A BYU officer and the Provo Fire Department responded to a medical call at Cougar Field involving an FSY participant. The individual was assessed and medically cleared by Provo Fire personnel. After contacting the participant’s parents, it was determined that no further medical treatment was necessary. The participant remained with the FSY Program.

Medical
Officer and Provo Paramedics responded to Cougar Field on a report of an FSY attendee who hit their head. Paramedics treated and released the patient at the scene.

Information
A BYU officer was dispatched by phone to speak with an FSY counselor regarding an incident involving two FSY participants. After discussing the details with the counselor, the officer determined that no crime had occurred. The counselor indicated they would address and manage the situation internally moving forward.
