Medical
An officer responded to 100 BNSN following a report of a 10-year-old camper who had been stung on the finger by a bee and was suspected of experiencing an allergic reaction. BYU EMS arrived on scene prior to the officer and provided medical attention to the child.

Citizen Contact
BYU Police responded to a delayed theft report at the ESC construction site. The reporting party had left a refrigerator outside to thaw, but upon returning, discovered it was missing. Reviews of security footage revealed two construction workers taking the fridge and placing it in their truck. The officers contacted the workers, who believed the fridge was free to take. They apologized and returned the item without incident.

Accident
An officer responded to Lot 4 following a report of a traffic incident involving a BYU vehicle that backed into a parked vehicle in a designated stall. Minor damage and no injuries reported.

Traffic Offense
On July 4th, during the annual Freedom Run, a delayed traffic offense occurred at the north entrance of Helaman Halls. Two vehicles bypassed traffic barricades designed to restrict access to Canyon Road, despite efforts by a Traffic student to prevent their passage. The situation escalated when the student attempting to enforce the barricades was subjected to verbal abuse. This case is being reviewed by investigators.

Accident
An officer responded to a traffic incident in Lot 26 after a complainant reported minor damage to their parked vehicle. The owner of the vehicle found a note on their window indicating that another driver had backed into their car. The officer contacted both parties involved and completed a non-reportable accident report.

Injured Animal
A BYU Police officer responded to multiple reports of a distressed deer with an apparent head injury, supported by photos from concerned callers. Recognizing the same deer repeatedly reported over several weeks, the officer located the animal on the west side of the West View Building. The deer was lying down and unusually approachable. Upon inspection, the officer observed severe injuries: missing an eye, broken and hanging antlers, and numerous lesions exposing the cranial cavity filled with maggots and parasites. The deer was clearly suffering, and with approval from the patrol sergeant and the Division of Wildlife Resources, the officer euthanized the animal to end its pain.

Medical
Provo Fire, BYU Police, and MTC Security responded to a report of a female missionary who was found unconscious. The missionary was with other missionaries at the time she lost consciousness and was helped to the ground, avoiding a fall or head injury. Witnesses reported that she had undergone a dental procedure earlier that day, during which she received five shots of anesthesia. At the scene, she was awake but appeared to be partially unaware of her surroundings. After the police cleared the scene, Provo Fire personnel prepared to transport her to Utah Valley Hospital for further evaluation and care.
