Stalking
An officer was dispatched to Kimball Tower on the BYU campus regarding a stalking-related complaint. Upon investigation, the officer learned that a package had been delivered to a professor by an individual whose behavior was perceived as unusual. When notified of the delivery, the professor identified the sender as a person she considered to be a stalker. The officer contacted the professor to obtain relevant details about the incident and gather suspect information. The officer then retrieved the package and contacted the suspect, issuing a harassment warning regarding the reported conduct.

Medical
Officers responded to Cougar Field on a report of a knee injury. Upon arrival, Provo Fire and EMS were already on scene treating the patient, who had sustained a dislocated knee while participating in activities at a BYU camp. After being assessed and treated, the patient was transported by Provo Fire to Utah Valley Hospital because she was unable to bear weight on the injured leg. No further issues were reported.

Suspicious Activity
An officer was dispatched to assist a Security Sergeant with a report of a homeless individual who was refusing to leave campus. The individual was located on the trails above and west of the Botany Pond. Before the officer arrived, the individual complied with security personnel's requests and voluntarily left campus. The incident was resolved without further action or incident.

Theft
A delayed report was received via email regarding the theft of a bicycle wheel and tire from a bicycle parked at a residence housing location. An officer is corresponding with the reporting party by email to obtain additional information related to the incident. The case remains under investigation pending further details.

Animal Problem
Officers responded to the McDonald Building on a report of a deer with an apparent broken leg. Upon arrival, officers recognized the deer as one that has been observed on campus since the previous year and has been the subject of prior calls for service. Officers noted that the deer appeared to have a broken right rear leg but did not appear to be in distress, starving, or otherwise suffering from conditions requiring immediate intervention. After observing the deer from a distance, officers determined that no action was necessary at that time and cleared the call.
