Suspicious Circumstance
Police officers responded to an intrusion alarm at the Marriott Center after two males entered through an unsecured exterior door. Security cameras showed the suspects briefly entering and then exiting the building. Officers conducted an extensive search but were unable to locate them initially. Dispatch later tracked the individuals to Helaman Halls, where they entered J Hall with a group of males. Both suspects were subsequently identified and interviewed. They admitted to the incident, expressed sincere apologies, and were released with documented warnings.

Carbon Monoxide (CO) – Alarm
An officer responded to a carbon monoxide (CO) alarm at Wyview 24, where tenants had evacuated after accidentally leaving their stovetop on a low setting. Provo Fire arrived and measured a CO level of 50 parts per million, then ventilated the apartment. BYU Housing was notified to inspect the stove, and the on-call electrician requested the officer reset the alarm panel to clear the system.

Suspicious Circumstance
BYU dispatch received a report of a suspicious male near the Wilkinson Student Center, described as having "emerged" from the bushes, causing concern for the complainant. The incident occurred approximately 30 minutes prior to the call. An officer responded and conducted a thorough search of the area but was unable to locate anyone matching the description.

Theft
An officer contacted a Wyview Park resident who reported via the BYU Police website that a bag containing his E-bike charger was stolen from his bicycle at the bike racks near Freedom Blvd and Building 16. The resident believes the theft occurred within the past 48 hours. The officer reviewed nearby camera footage, but the bike was not visible on camera. The E-bike itself was not stolen, as it had been properly secured.

Criminal Mischief
An officer was dispatched to the Taylor Building after a custodial employee reported that someone had written on a newly installed "BYU Official's Parking Only" sign. The officer met with the complainant on the northeast side of BYU East Campus. A photo of the sign was taken and attached to the report. The writing was successfully removed using a cleaner and rag, with no permanent damage to the sign. Surveillance footage was reviewed, but no relevant recordings were found. There are no suspects currently.
