Lost Person
BYU Police Dispatch received a report from BYU Security regarding a lost child on campus. A police officer recalled seeing a child matching the description earlier in the day and proceeded to check the Botany Pond area—the last known direction the child was seen heading. The officer located the child in that area and successfully reunited him with his adult sister, who had initially reported the incident to BYU Security.

Medical
A 16-year-old FSY student fainted while walking back from an FSY event. Upon the officer’s arrival, the student was alert and feeling better. The student reported a history of fainting and noted she had not been drinking much water recently. She did not fall, as a friend caught her, and she sustained no injuries. Provo Medical personnel evaluated the student and subsequently released her back to FSY staff.

Fireworks
An officer responded to a report of people lighting fireworks in Lot 38. Upon arrival, the officer found a couple setting off small fireworks. The officer informed them that fireworks are not permitted on BYU grounds. The couple, unaware of the rule, complied, cleaned up their fireworks, and left the area without incident
