Theft The complainant reported that her Jetson Bolt Pro Max electric bicycle was stolen from the bike racks on the east side of Building 1 at Wy-view Park Apartments. The complainant stated she secured the bike with a D-lock on July 23, 2026, at approximately 2110 hours and discovered both the bicycle and lock missing on July 26, 2026, at approximately 2115 hours. The complainant noted the bike's bell had been removed due to damage, and a rear light had been attached to the seat post near the rear reflector. She and her friends searched bike racks throughout Wy-view Park and across campus but were unable to locate the bicycle.
Harassment The complainant reported receiving unwanted phone calls and social media communications from an individual. The complainant stated they had not previously told the individual to stop contacting them. They were advised to clearly inform the individual that all contact is unwanted and must cease, and to document any further contact after making that request. The complainant acknowledged the advice, stated they would notify the individual to stop contacting them, and advised they would contact law enforcement again if the unwanted contact continued.
Medical A 15-year-old female FSY student who had been feeling ill throughout the day lost consciousness near the BYU Bookstore. BYU medical personnel evaluated her and consulted with her parents, determining that immediate additional medical treatment was not necessary. The student was escorted back to her dormitory by FSY staff and remained there until her parents arrived to pick her up.
Fire Alarm BYU officer responded to the Maeser Building MARB building on a fire alarm. Upon arrival, no fire, smoke, or other hazards were observed. Although the alarm was sounding within the building, it was not registering with dispatch. A fire technician responded to the scene and was working to correct the notification issue to ensure future alarms would be properly transmitted to dispatch.
Medical A BYU officer and BYU EMS responded to the Wilkinson Student Center after an FSY participant reportedly lost consciousness. The participant was evaluated by BYU EMS, and a parent was contacted regarding the incident. The parent expressed no concerns and requested that the participant remain at the FSY program. After evaluation, BYU EMS released the participant back to the care of FSY staff.
Trespassing Officers responded to the ASB construction site after receiving a report that two males had jumped the construction fencing and were trespassing within the construction area. Multiple officers quickly arrived and conducted a search of the site but were unable to locate any individuals. Dispatch also checked available camera footage and advised that no suspects could be located or observed on camera. No trespassers were found, and the area was cleared.
Traffic Offense An officer observed a vehicle leaving the roadway near 1500 North and 460 East and travel westbound on a sidewalk between the dormitories and the baseball field on BYU campus to access a lower parking lot. The officer followed and conducted a traffic stop in the lower parking lot. The driver stated he believed the sidewalk was a roadway. The driver was issued a citation for driving on the sidewalk.
